La Rôtisserie Tapas Menu

Terre Blanche 5 Star Hotel’s tapas restaurant welcomes you to the terrace of Le Gaudina every day between 6:30pm and 10:30pm from 2nd March to 10th November for an aperitif or dinner.  The menu includes a wide selection of delicious hot and cold tapas to enjoy with a drink surrounded by friends and family.

Tapas with a taste of Provence

Created by our “Best Craftsman of France” award-winning Chef Philippe Jourdin and his team, our menu is full of hot and cold tapas with sunsoaked flavours . Presented individually or as mixed platters combining several dishes, our tapas are made using local produce: charcuterie, fish, seasonal vegetables, hummus, tapenades and other delicious ingredients are on offer in warm and friendly surroundings.

What is the origin of tapas?

There are a number of theories on the origins of the concept of tapas. The most accepted of them is that tapas first appeared in the 16th century during the reign of King Felipe III who commanded restaurant owners to serve small dishes, known today as tapas, in order to tackle drunkenness in public areas.
