Hidden treasures around Fayence

The Fayence area is a land of tradition that has never lost in authenticity. Built in the Middle Ages, between the 5th and 15th centuries, the area’s mountainside villages will surprise you with their cultural and natural heritage.
Wander among the churches, chapels, wash houses, shaded squares, medieval alleyways and old fountains to appreciate the freshness of these villages that withstood the passing of time.
Perched on the hillside, the village of Fayence is one of the hinterland’s most beautiful places. Gaze out over the impressive panoramic view, eat in a typical restaurant and stroll through a Provençal market, held several times a week in front of the church.

An open-sky Museum

Tourrettes is also worth a visit. This open-sky museum has a few surprises in store for you. Art adorns the old stone walls of medieval ruins, creating a unique and special environment. Artists will invite you to browse through their varied and out-of-the-ordinary work, discover their workshops and share their passion. The village of Seillans was classified as one of “the most beautiful villages in France”. Accessible only on foot, it offers a calm and serene atmosphere in an authentic setting. n
