Lisa Lindqvist
Born in Hampshire, England, in 1971, Lisa Lindqvist was educated in Dorset and went on to complete her Foundation Course at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design and her B.A.Hons. Fine Art Sculpture, at Wimbledon School of Art in 1994.
Her strong artistic pulsions led to her excelling in a widespread variety of creative vocations over the following few years: Environmental sculpture work, prop, model and costume maker for television, stage and film productions as well as teaching sculpture techniques in Dorset schools. In October 2000, Lindqvist was offered a two year student position at the Elisabeth Frink School of Figurative Sculpture in Tunstall, Staffordshire.
Over the recent years her work has been exhibited at The Orangery, Holland Park, London – ING and The Discerning Eye Partnership as well as London Wall. In June 2002 four pieces of her work were showcased in the Sculpture in the Garden Exhibition at Kingston Lacy House, Wimborne, Dorset. These pieces were life size or greater and reflected her ambition to create large sculptures for public places and private gardens.
